This month Shake Out's turning 7 and we're feeling pretty sentimental about it.🥺 Serving up delicious burgers, sides and shakes is what we do best and we're fizzin to celebrate another year around the sun☀️
But, how well do you know Shake Out? If all you know about us is that we make delicious burgers… well, you’d be right! But, in honour of celebrating 7 years let us properly introduce ourselves (beyond the burgers that you love) and spill the secret sauce to what makes Shake Out, Shake Out!

We wouldn’t have made it to 7 years without our in-store crew. They’re the dream team bringing ya your Cheesy fix and the superstars who make sure every burger craving is answered. So, we want to give these legends a well deserved shout out📢 from over the years!
⁓ Shake Out store openings ⁓
We’ve come a long way since our first store opening in 2018. Now, we’re serving up our highly addictive menu across the country from our three awesome stores (Smales Farm, Commercial Bay and Palmerston North) and 20+ delivery locations (with even more on the way 🤫😉)! However, there’s nothing quite like that first day of a store opening where we get to bring a taste of Shake Out to our new neighbours.
Throwin’ it back to December 2019, when Shake Out first swung open its doors in Palmy. More than 100 locals rocked up on opening night to show their support and once they got a taste of Shake Out… The rest was history. Now, nearly 6 years later and still going strong. You can find all your fav burgers, sides and shakes here so be sure to give the store some love this month for our bday💚
⁓ Getting amongst it ⁓
You may recognise some of our friendly faces... Not just from being behind the grill but out and about in your community. Whether you’ve seen us playing cornhole at the Smales Farm Sunday Markets or running around Commercial Bay with a giant “pin the pickle” sign in honour of our Pickle in a cup, one thing you'll notice about our team is that we like to get amongst it. So, if you ever catch us out and about ⁓ please come say hi! 👋😎
⁓ Friends of Shake Out ⁓
Eyes on the prize… or fries! We love when we get to team up with local communities doing cool things! Last year we supported Run 4 Auckland to celebrate people coming together, moving their body and enjoying good food. Because what more do you want after a hard run than some well-deserved Shake Out bites and refreshments🍔🏃♂️
⁓ Hittin’ the festivals ⁓
Nothing screams kiwi summer like a festival does and you already know we're big festi fans at Shake Out.⚡😎 That burger and boogie combo is unmatched. So, when the team pulls up in the Shake Out Container you can be rest assured that your favourite event will be packed with flavour!
Earlier this year we got to serve our burgers with a side of BRAT at Laneway, boogie with Carl Cox at Sonorous and feed the masses at Auckland's largest one day-er Synthony. And, a few years back, we even got down and dirty (literally, in the mud) at Northern Bass. We’re feen-ing to get back out there again this year. So, keep an eye out for the Shake Out Container this festi run as we’re sure to be firing up the grill again soon.
⁓ Pals Party ⁓
Our Pals sure know how to throw a party, and we've been keeping the crowd fed these past two years. Serving great food to great people is one thing but what really blew us away was the D.I.Y Pickle martinis that the partygoers came up with…

1 x Pickle in a cup
1 x Pals “Gin Citrus Twist” or “Classic Marg“

For 7 years, we’ve been serving up delicious burgers, sides and shakes in your neighbourhood with the aim of showing you how good "fast" can really taste! It's with the hard work and dedication of our store staff that we've been able to share so many tasty burgs with you all, and we extend a sincere thank you to these legends.
But, we also wouldn’t be here without our Shake Out community and want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been along for the ride… Whether you’ve been a Shake Out fan since the start or have just joined us now ⁓ we’re glad you’re here 💚
