Here to spice up the menu for a hot minute, we're stoked to be welcoming back Ghost pepper chicken to Hamilton East & Palmerston North (don't worry Auckland, Smales Farm have got you soon!) for a limited time only.
We've heard your fried chicken calls, and have been inundated with requests begging us to bring back this spicy fan-favourite. Well, your fried chicken dreams have been answered!
Burger, sandwich or sando – whatever you prefer to call it; we’ve taken Southern-style buttermilk fried chicken, pickles and lashings of ghost pepper mayo (this packs a punch) and sandwiched it all between our buttery Shake Out potato and pumpkin flour buns. Not all fried chicken was created equal; our NZ chicken breast is marinated for 24 hours in spices and buttermilk before we fire up the kitchen to bring you this killer burger.
#wouldyoulikefriesandacolawiththat? This time around, grab a burg' on its own - or opt for a special-edition Ghost pepper chicken combo. Served with skin-on shoestring fries (with salt & vinegar mayo) and a NZ cola only.
Now, if you’re not a connoisseur of Scolville heat units, and don’t know your jalapeño from your bhut jolokia - it is all good, but you could probably lose a couple of hours on the internet watching people eat whole ghost peppers to understand that they hot, 855,000- 1,041,427 SHUs hot.
