Meet Jess; Palmy Shift Manager superstar, self-confessed banana shake advocate and the brains behind our latest Choccy-nana shake! Jess gives us the inside scoop (the ice-cream variety, of course) of her journey with Shake Out and her inspiration for the new limited-edition Choccy-nana shake.

Jess, what is your role and how long have you been with Shake Out?
I'm a Shift Manager at Shake Out Palmy and have been with Shake Out for just over a year! I started a little before the store officially opened back in December 2019.
What do you enjoy most about being a team member at Shake Out?
I love the positive atmosphere in our store and that I get to work alongside an awesome team of people who always challenge and push me to grow. And I can't forget about the food - I enjoy taking pride in serving up the best burgers in town.
What do you like most about Shake Out?
It's simple, fast and fresh!
What’s your go-to item on the menu?
Cheeseburger all the way! But my hands-down favourite so far was the Ghost pepper chicken. That was just epic!
What attracted you to working at Shake Out?
I loved that it was different from any other system I’d experienced before and that it was set up for speed. Having worked a lot in hospitality, I love the adrenaline rush you get from smashing out a good service. So I applied and was chosen to join the team, and I truly feel that this is where I am meant to be.
Chocolate x Banana = Yum! What was your inspiration for this flavour combo?
Firstly I’ll let you know I named myself the banana ambassador because I love a good banana shake and really good ones are hard to find. So, you know those choc-banana bars that you can get that are just melt-in-your-mouth delicious? Well. as banana shake ambassador, I thought that this flavour combo in a cup is a treat I could happily drink all day.
How do you feel about your suggestion coming to life as a shake flavour in-store?
I was super excited to hear that my suggestion was coming to the store, not just for me but for all the banana lovers out there because it’s hard to find. Our banana shake is the best I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot 😂
