Ranch chicken burger is back with a tasty tangy ranch upgrade. Southern-style buttermilk fried chicken, shredded lettuce, rescued* pickled red onion and creamy onion & chive ranch sauce all wedged between a buttery potato bun 🤤.

Available in-store and online from this week, for a limited time only at Shake Out Smales Farm, Hamilton East and Palmerston North.

What are rescued ingredients?

*Food waste is an unfortunate reality in the food business. We all need to do our bit and here at Shake Out we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to lessen our impact. We have some pretty clever minds in our team, minds that see beyond the norm, to what could and should be.

Our special edition Blob of feta burger in May was a great example of how premium ingredients can be used in their entirety. We utilised several premium ingredients in our rescued salsa and whipped beetroot feta ~ ingredients that were otherwise needlessly destined to waste, to complement our core burger ingredients. While one burger or side may only require the outer, inner or half of an ingredient, the other half is equally fresh and delicious and with a little thoughtful planning can be used to complement even more epic burgers and sides.

We’re continuing our ingredient rescue journey, utilising fresh red onions, pickled in our own brine in-store, to make our Ranch chicken burger all the more tasty with a touch of delicious crunch.
